Description
The study comprises 48 operated women with hystologically affirmed breast cancer. All of them were subjected to roentgenography of the bones and lungs and part of them - to 99mTc-pyrophosphate scintigraphy (185 mBq) on gamma camera and radioimmunoassay of the carcino-embryonic antigen. The comparative evaluation shows that the bone scintigraphy has better diagnostic possibilities for early detection of bone metastases than reontgenography. The quality of the scintigraphic image does not depend on the hystologic structure of the gland's primary tumour. The level of the carcino-embryonic antigen in all cases of bone metastases of breast cancer is elevated. 1 tab., 14 refs
