Description

We have determined the magnetic phase diagram as a function of temperature T and field H//b of the new heavy-fermion compound YbAgGe using elastic neutron scattering. The low-T and low-H phase is characterized by a propagation vector k1=(13,0,13) with a critical field and temperature of H1=1.89(1)T and T1=697(7)mK. It is separated by a first-order transition from a second magnetically ordered phase, which has a propagation vector k2=(0,0,0.324) with H2=2.92(2)T and T2=766(17)mK
