Kinetics of technetium reactions
Creators
Description
Kinetics of uranium (4) oxidation by nitric acid catalyzed by technetium ions is studied by spectrophotometric method. Study of this reaction is of practical interest for evaluating U4+ stability in the presence of Tc7+ in nitrate solutions in the course of nuclear fuel processing. It is shown that the reaction is limited by stages of interaction of Tc2+ and Mo2+ ions (main reaction way) and TcO22+ and TcO4- ions (secondary reaction way)
