Allocation problems in safety-critical real-time systems

Description

Design and execution of complex safety-critical real-time programs on a parallel architecture raise a lot of problems. We are interested by the problem of mapping program task to processing elements and to the problem of sizing the multiprocessor machine. The OASIS project (Synchronized and Isochronous Active-Objects for Safety-critical applications) introduce rules for designing such applications. In this context, we present the OASIS task model and our approach of allocation problems, when the application must be executed on a parallel architecture. (author)
