This paper strikes the balance of sulfur dioxide emissions according to the refining processes used in petroleum refining plants in 1989. Statistical data about sulfur content of petroleum products and forecasts about sulfur dioxide emissions in year 2000 are also given. 3 figs., 9 tabs
