Description

Sorption of metal ions by polyampholyte hydrogel is considered. The desorption rate of Cu2+ ions and the change of gel volume are considerably increased with decreasing of p H value of medium. This peculiarity is testifies the predominant role of surface charge on polyampholyte gels. As well as the rate of Cu2+ ions increases due to increasing of swelling degree of gel resulting rise of surface charge. It is determined, that processes of complex formation of water soluble and water swelling polyampholytes with heavy metal ions have common nature due to presence of identical functional groups but have some differences. They are as follows: the topological nature of interaction, delayed diffusion of metal ions into reaction zone and existing of layer complex as well as the predominant role of surface charge density that density that determined the kinetic of mechanism of complex formation
