Fluctuations of the surface activity and dose rate in the villages located in nearby fallout areas of the Chernobyl NPP
Description
Approximation of measured time dependences of exposure dose rates in June-September 1986 is carried out for 18 settlements, located in the nearby zone of the Chernobyl NPP. This dependence is satisfactorily described by law of radioactive decay in 12 places. Variations relative to the average value for the whole period of measurements are noted in 6 places. Fluctuations of the total surface activity exceed 60% in the majority of cases. 7 refs., 3 figs., 2 tabs
