Particle-hole structure of the low-lying states of 137Ba
- 1. Bylgarska Akademiya na Naukite, Sofia. Inst. za Yadrena Izsledvaniya i Yadrena Energetika
Description
The energies and the wave functions of low lying positive-parity excitations of 137Ba are calculated numerically using a simple new version of the anharmonic PVC-model. This model, proposed by Jolos (1984), is based on a method known as the Equation of motion method. One of the main advantages of the method is that it treats pairing and particle-hole forces on an equal footing. Another important advantage is the possibility offered to insert the available experimental information on nuclear collective properties directly in the adjacent odd-mass nuclei
