Qualification of equipment of the units 5 and 6 of the Kozloduy NPP. Engineering activities and results

The equipment qualification as of May 2009 is as follows: Environmental qualification: remaining qualification for Unit 5 - 5% and Unit 6 - 3.5% (around 165 and 115 points respectively). Seismic qualification: remaining for qualification - for unit 5 are 8% and for Unit 6 - 6% (270 and 110 points). About 10% of these points are located in the difficult conditions. The types of equipment remaining to be qualified include sensors, transmitters, electrical fittings, cables, panels, cabinets, connected devices. The preparation of program is under way for equipment qualification for Units 5 and 6 of Kozloduy NPP, including management measures identified inconsistency and maintenance measures
