Some regularity of the process of the N2O4 dissociating coolant boiling in a large volume at depressurization of a pressure vessel

Description

Some results of the experimental study of the process of nitrogen tetroxide boiling in a large volume at unexpected depressurization of a vessel in the range of initial pressures 0.4-2.0 MPa are given. The description of the testing facility, metering circuit and the testing technique are given. The dynamics of the medium pressure and temperature variations in the vessel in the process of nitrogen tetroxide outflow has been studied. Qualitative difference in the nature of the tetroxide boiling outflow process as compared to the non-dissociating water coolant has been observed. This difference can be accounted for the specificity of the properties of dissociating medium, which manifests itself in thermodynamical nonequilibrium of the boiling process
