Study of vanadium complexing with 2-hydroxy-5-sulfobenzeneazobarbituric acid

Description
Vanadium(4) complexing with 2-hydroxy-5-sulfobenzeneazobarbituric acid was investigated by spectrophotometric method. It is shown that vanadium forms complex compound with the given reagent (H2R) with ratio of V:Y2R = 1:1 at pH 4. Instability constants of the complex and acid dissociation constants of the reagent were determined. Probable composition and chemcial aspect of complexing in analyzed system are presented
