On the strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the sphere of radiation safety

Present article is devoted to strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the sphere of radiation safety. The current situation and general problems, including problems of tailing dumps in the Northern Tajikistan; problems of sources of ionizing radiation in the course of privatization and the plants sales; problems of radiation control at the borders, including metals imported into the Republic; problems of orphan radiation sources; organization of the reference laboratory to conduct calibration of the sources of ionizing radiation and metrological verification of the dosimetric instruments and many others were considered. The measures which should be taken were proposed.
