Thermoluminescence characteristics of high gamma dose irradiated muscovite mica
Creators
- 1. Department of Physics, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (India)
Description
The thermoluminescence (TL) characteristics of natural muscovite mica collected from Nilore mica belt, India irradiated with high dose of gamma radiations (30 to 280 kGy) from 60Co source, have been studied in the present paper. Two TL glow peaks in the temperature ranges 491-502 K and 620-678 K have been detected in gamma irradiated natural muscovite mica. Dose response of the peak positions and peak intensities have been studied. The TL glow peaks have also deconvoluted with Glow Fit program. (author)
