Description

The energy resolution of LaCl3 and NaI detectors were calibrated with some standard gamma-ray sources. The results show that the energy resolution of LaCl3 detector is better than NaI detector. In order to get more precision gamma-ray spectrum, the pulse height spectrum for gamma-ray measured by LaCl3 detector will be unfolded by reverse-matrix. The energy response functions were simulated with EgSnrc code. The performance of LaCl3 for gamma-ray spectrum was tested using 152Eu. The result of test was compared with the measured spectrum of HPGe detector and standard spectrum, the agreement among them was good in energy linearity, detected efficiency and energy resolution, respectively. Therefore, it shows LaCl3 detector has a better application prospect in the measurement for gamma-ray spectra. (authors)
