Separation of 125Sb from the neutron irradiated tin

Description
Solvent extraction behaviour of Sb(V), Sn(IV), In(III) using ethylacetate and isopropylether respectively from hydrochloric acid solution was studied. The data were successfully applied for the preparation of 125Sb (2.7 y) tracer from neutron irradiated tin. About 95% of the calculated activity were recovered with a decontamination factor of 106 from tin and indium. (orig.)

Die Extraktion von Sb(V), Sn(IV) und In(III) in salzsaurer Loesung ist mit Aethylazetat und Isopropylaether untersucht worden. Die Resultate wurden erfolgreich verwendet zur Herstellung von traegerfreiem 125Sb (2,7 Jahre) aus neutronenbestrahltem Zinn. Etwa 95% der berechneten Aktivitaet wurden erhalten mit einem Trennfaktor ca. 106 von Zinn und Indium. (orig.)Additional details
