Description

The perturbation of the Newtonian cosmological model by a moving gravitating body is calculated. The narrow, infinitely massive tail of background dust condensed in the trace of the body is shown to cause dynamical friction which is negligible in the course of cosmological evolution if the present velocity of the body is sufficiently high.
