Investigation into crystallization kinetics of the TeSe19 glasses by means of measuring electric conductivity
Description
The electroconductivity method was applied to study the kinetics of devitrification of glasses which occurs without changing the chemical composition of glasses. Glasses TeSe19 (5 at.% Te) were subjected to stepwise low-temperature (60, 70, 80 deg C) treatment with subsequent tempering at room temperature. A change in temperature of the thermal treatment and in dispersity of the crystalline phase in the range 60-80 deg C did not affect substantially electroconductivity parameters of crystallized alloys of TeSe19. On expansion of the measurement range to 180 deg C one observed recrystallization of these alloys. A gradual increase in electroconductivity was used to estimate the extent of devitrification of TeSe19. A strong increase in electroconductivity (by 7-8 orders at 20 deg C) was observed during devitrification of TeSe19 which is due to activation of impurities in the process of crystallization
