On the effect of carboxylic acid amide structure on uranyl nitrate and nitric acid extraction
Description
Extraction of uranyl nitrate and nitric acid by carboxylic acid amides OctC(O)NR2, where R - butyl, isooctyl and isododecyl, was investigated. It is shown that in contrast to extraction by tributyl phosphate, trisolvate is formed alongside with uranyl nitrate disolvate, the part of which increases with hydrocarbon chain elongation in amide radical nc. Extraction of nitric acid depends but slightly on nc, however, nc determines formation region of the second organic phase. Extraction constants were determined; the mathematical models obtained described well the experimental data
