Description

Electrodeposition process, structure and certain properties (microhardness, corrosion resistance and internal strain) of coatings with bismuth-indium alloy from trilonate electrolytes are studied. It is shown that alloy properties are changed in agreement with the change of their structure. Bismuth deposit doping with indium increases their microhardness. Corrosion behaviour of alloys is determined by their structural state. Decreased rate of corrosion of alloys containing 10-15 at% of In is explained by the presence of excessive intermetallide phase in their structure and by the levelled relief of the deposit surface
