Study of spin-dependent ΛN interactions by gamma-ray spectroscopy of p-shell hypernuclei
Description
We performed a γ-ray spectroscopy experiment on p-shell hypernuclei with Hyperball, a large acceptance Ge detector array, at the BNL-AGS D6 line. The experiment was aimed to investigate the ΛN spin-dependent interactions. We studied structure of Λ16O and Λ15N from the 16O(K-, π-γ) reaction, and that of Λ10B, Λ9Be and Λ7Li from the 10B (K-, π-γ) reaction. In particular, we succeeded in determination of the ΛN tensor interaction strength, which was experimentally unknown before, from the Λ16O levels. (author)
