Delayed electrical response of polyethylene observed in positronium formation

Description

The transient and steady effect of positronium yield in polyethylene, due to the application and removal of an external electric field, have been studied. The time-dependent electric field effective in the Ps formation region was deduced from yield measurements. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Die transienten und stationaeren Effekte der Positroniumausbeute in Polyaethylen, die sich durch Anlegen und Entfernen eines aeusseren elektrischen Feldes ergeben, wurden untersucht. Aus Ausbeutemessungen wurde das im PS-Erzeugungsgebiet wirksame zeitabhaengige elektrische Feld abgeleitet. (orig.)
