X-ray spectrum analysis of a pulp by fundamental parameters method

Description

The theory is considered of X-ray spectrum analysis using the fundamental parameter method (FPM) for heterogeneous materials with spatial distribution of grains according to Poisson law and with arbitrary law of distribution by sizes at the presence of apriori data on granulometric composition and mineral forms containing the analyzed elements and filler of the solid phase. Rapid modification of the method based on replacement of excitation integral for each analyzed element by two equations is suggested. One of the equations describes quantum flux of fluorescence in monochromatic approximation for homogeneous medium and the other one describes dependence of effective excitation energy on the composition at the given law of particle distribution by size. Analytical results are demonstrated using pulps of iron and nickel concentrates as an example
