Gamma radiation effects of cobalt-60 on larvae of Palembus dermestoides (Fairmaire) (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)

Description
The aim of the experiment was to determine the effects of gamma radiations on Palembus dermestoides (Fairmaire) irradiated at its larval phase. The utilized radiation doses were 0 (control), 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 Gy, at a dose of 3000 Gy per hour. It was observed that the dose who caused lethality for pupae was 60 Gy, and the sterilizing dose for adults was 40 Gy. (author)
