Pu isotopic composition analysis from largely unexplored 90-105 keV region of gamma ray spectra using HPGe detector

Description
The isotopic composition of Pu samples has been obtained from the analysis of the 90-105 keV region of gamma ray spectra. For this, the response function of a HPGe detector has been generated by convoluting the Monte Carlo generated spectrum of individual isotopes with the detector resolution parameter. The total Pu spectrum has been generated by linear combinations of the individual isotopic spectra. The isotopic composition has been obtained by non linear least square fitting of this simulated spectrum with the experimental one. (author)
