Description
Body doses due to incorporation of radioactive materials are limited by the Radiation Protection Ordinance for patients, test persons, persons occupationally exposed to radiation, and individual members of the population. Monitoring is carried out by measuring the body activity, the activity contained in human excretions, and the concentration of radioactive materials in the air near a radiation source, and by comparing these data with the limiting values given by the Radiation Protection Ordinance. Incorporation monitoring may be carried out continuously or for special reasons. (DG)

Die nach der Inkorporation von radioaktiven Stoffen auftretenden Koerperdosen werden in der StrlSchV fuer Patienten, Probanden, beruflich strahlenexponierte Personen und Einzelpersonen der Bevoelkerung begrenzt. Die Ueberwachungsmethoden bestehen in der Messung der Koerperaktivitaet, der Aktivitaet in den Ausscheidungen und der Konzentration radioaktiver Stoffe in der Luft beim Immitenten sowie Vergleich mit den Grenzwerten der StrlSchV. Die Inkorporationsueberwachung kann regelmaessig oder aus besonderm Anlass erfolgen. (DG)Additional details
