Extraction properties of zirconium salt of DBPA during TPE and REE separation from nitric acid solutions

Description
Structure of zirconium salt of dibutylphosphoric acid (ZS DBP) and complexes forming in organic phase during extraction of rare earths by ZS DBP in dependence on acidity, concentration of ZS DBP and saturation of extractant by metal is proposed on the base of data on extraction and IR spectrometry. By means of mathematical model method contribution of different extraction mechanisms is exposed for all rare earths and so Am and Cm. Presence of TBP in ZS DBP decreases distribution coefficients regardless of diluent in Ce, Eu and Am extraction, but increases extractant capacity as to rare earths to a extent surpassing significantly element extraction by TBP
Abstract (Russian)
На основании данных по экстракции и ИК спектрометрии предложена структура циркониевой соли дибутилфосфорной кислоты (ЦС ДБФ), а также структуры комплексов, образующихся в органической фазе, при экстракции редкоземельных элементов ЦС ДБФ в зависимости от кислотности, концентрации ЦС ДБФ и насыщения экстрагента металлом. Методом математического моделирования выявлен вклад различных механизмов экстракции для всех редкоземельных элементов, а также Am и Cm. Присутствие ТБФ в ЦС ДБФ независимо от разбавителя при экстракции Ce, Eu и Am понижает коэффициенты распределения элементов, но увеличивает емкость экстрагента по редкоземельным элементам на величину, существенно превосходящую экстракцию элементов самим ТБФAdditional details
