Neutron-proton asymmetry and fast fission: two extreme time evolutions in dissipative heavy ion reactions

Description

We review two different phenomena occuring in dissipative heavy ion collisions: neutron-proton asymmetry and fast fission. The first one is very fast and exhibits quantum fluctuations. The second one is very slow and dominated by statistical fluctuations. A dynamical model treating both these processes is also described. (orig.)
