Investigation on reinforced concrete slabs subjeted to impact loading

Description
A comparison of experimental and computational results for tests of reinforced concrete slabs subjected to soft missile impact is presented. Numerical simulation techniques were employed to predict the target response. The objective of the calculations was to validate the material model for reinforced concrete implemented in a finite difference code. The computational results regarding displacements or strains in the reinforcement conform satisfactorily with the experimental values. (Author)

Apresenta-se uma comparacao de resultados experimentais e computacionais para testes de lajes de concreto reforcado sujeito a impacto leve de missil. Usou-se tecnicas de simulacao numerica para prever a faixa de resposta. O objetivo dos calculos foi validar o modelo do material para concreto reforcado implementado em um codigo de diferenca finita. Os resultados computacionais visando dislocamentos ou tensoes no reforco sao satisfatorios em relacao aos valores experimentais. (E.G.)Additional details
