A spectral nodal method for one-speed X,Y-geometry discrete ordinates eigenvalue problems

Description
We present an attempt to improve the accuracy of transport nodal methods applied to one-speed discrete ordinates (SN) Eigen value problems in x,y-geometry. The resulting nodal method uses spectral diamond (S D) scheme for numerically solving the one-dimensional transverse-spatial truncation error. We perform numerical experiments to investigate the S D-constant nodal (S D-CN) method's accuracy. (author) 14 refs., 1 tab
