Anomalous optical properties associated with the real structure of SrTiO3 crystals

Description
A SrTiO3 polycrystal with a blue-spot defect has been studied by the X-ray diffraction method. In distinction from a defect-free crystal, the crystal studied showed the following anisotropic properties: a lower refractive index and a higher density than in the defect-free analogue. The weak reflections observed seem to be caused by ordering in the SrTiO3 polycrystals
