Study of magnetoelectrical activity in antiferromagnetic Nd2CuO4

Description
An investigation has been made into high-frequency and static magnetoelectrical properties of Nd2CuO4. Electric field has been found to have an effect on UHF magnetic susceptibility of antiferromagnetic Nd2CuO4 as well as on antiferromagnetic resonance shift in electric field. The former effect is of dynamic character that is electric field effect on static susceptibility is considerably weaker than that in UNF range. Linear magnetoelectric effect which earlier was assumed to be possible due to structural distortions of tetragonal lattice was not revealed
