On mechanism of the autocatalytic oxidation reaction of Ce3+ by bromate
Description
Two chemical schemes have been proposed for the autocatalytic oxidation reaction of Ce3+ with bromate which is an essential part of auto-oscillating chemical system. It is assumed that this reaction proceeds with the participation of free radicals which, at high acidity, are almost completely in a protonated form and due to it the rate of their recombination is small. Mathematical models corresponding to these schemes describe the reaction run in a good agreement with the experimental data. The experiments have been proposed permitting the choice of the most suitable variant
