Design of impeller for SMART main coolant pump

Description

A design procedure for axial pump impeller was developed, based on traditional hydrodynamics theory and experimental correlations. A geometrical modeling procedure of impeller was also developed using I-DEAS program files. It was possible to reduce the time required for design and achieve design optimization by applying the procedure to the design of SMART MCP
