Synthesis and properties of uranyl salt adducts with ethanol
Description
Interaction of K2(UO2Cl4) and NH4(UO2NO3)3 with absolute ethyl alcohol, when they are just in contact, is investigated. Anhydrous addusts of the UO2X2x2C2H5OH(X-Cl-, NO3-) composition are established to be formed as a result of incongruent solubility of the anion uranyl complexes presented in ethyl alcohol. Synthesized compounds are indentified and studied by chemical, X-ray phase, IR spectroscopic and thermal analyses. Thermolysis of complexes is established to proceed with simultaneous separation of neutral- and acidoligands
