Description
The interfacial surface tension (IST) of 30% TBP/n-Dodecane in equilibrium with nitric acid solutions of concentration 1M to 14M and uranyl nitrate solutions with concentrations varying from 50 mg/ml to 450 mg/ml, has been measured and reported. The IST of 30% TBP/n-Dodecane against nitric acid solutions initially increases with increasing equilibrium aqueous acidity and then decreases, while the IST of the TBP solution against uranyl nitrate solutions initially increases with uranium concentration and then remains constant.
