Influence of the framework composition on the cation-site energy: The structures of dehydrated NaxHGaY (x = 54, 36, and 21) zeolites

Description
Using X-ray powder diffraction, the structure and distribution of the exchangeable cations of dehydrated NaxHGaY (x = 54, 36,and 21) was determined and compared to Na in dehydrated (Al)Y. From this, it is concluded that the substitution of Al by Ga results in a less polarizable and more ionic framework. 24 refs., 5 figs., 6 tabs
