Unexpected fuel channel bow

Description
In the 90's the fuel channel material was changed worldwide from Zircaloy-4 to Zircaloy-2 because of the superior corrosion behavior of Zircaloy-2. The material change proceeded successful in Europe but when Zircaloy-2 was reaching higher share in the core and higher burnup in U.S. reactors excessive cell friction problems stemming from fuel channel distortion (mainly unexpected bow) occurred.
