The paper discusses the published data on the phase composition and magnetic features of Cr-Te system. CrTe is pointed out to be not an individual chemical compound. Joint existence of chromium under 2+ and 3+ oxidation degrees is possible in chromium tellurides. 20 refs., 4 figs., 2 tabs
