Equilibrium in system: metallic zirconium-molten secium and zirconium fluorides mixture

Description
A method for investigating the equilibrium of the reaction of cesium displacement from its fluoride melt by metal zirconium is proposed. It is shown that the average oxidation degree for zirconium ions being in equilibrium with the metal is notably lower than 4. The reaction equilibrium constants for 705, 770 and 850 C are calculated
