Neutron scattering studies of low dimensional magnetic systems

  • 1. Brookhaven National Lab., Upton, N.Y. (USA)
  • 2. Massachusetts Inst. of Tech., Cambridge (USA). Dept. of Physics

Description

Within the last few years, neutron scattering studies have been carried out on several new prototypes of low dimensional (2D or 1D) magnetic systems. The authors discuss in some detail a 2D Ising antiferromagnet K2CoF4(Ikeda and Hirakawa), as well as current results on K2NiF4, Rb2Mnsub(0.5)Nisub(0.5)F4 and Rb2Mnsub(0.5)Mgsub(0.5)F4. New results of high resolution studies of TMMC are also reported. (Auth.)
