Explicit rephasing invariant parametrization of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix

Description
An explicit rephasing invariant parametrization of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix is presented. Its four parameters |V12|, |V23|, |V13|, and φ13 are directly measurable. The phenomenological approximation of the parametrization is also obtained, which shows more clearly the correlations between the elements of the CKM matrix. The present bounds on the phase angle φ13 are 31 degree ≤φ13≤148 degree coming from the CP-violating quantity ε in the kaon system
