Description

In a first article, the authors notice that the French State Council seems reluctant to the support to renewable energy development which is supported by the EU and followed by the Government. This reluctance seems to be related to problems of cohabitation between wind turbines, military radars and aviation safety, and also to conditions of destruction of protected areas. The second article outlines that the ENR law makes the development of offshore wind energy easier through the introduction of measures related to the creation of a cartography of priority maritime and terrestrial areas, to the protection of biodiversity, to the simplification of studies and authorisations, and to the definition of a specific legal framework for floating installations and works. The third article comments how the French law related to the acceleration of renewable energies has to do with the issues of land artificialization and the reduction of natural, agricultural and forest lands
