Model independent tests for the ΔI=1/2 rule in Σ decays
Description
The equalities resulting from the triangular relationships and certain tests for the ΔI=1/2 rule in Σ decays have been investigated. Numerical results and an estimation of the ΔI=1/2 breaking are presented. It is found that a single breaking parameter may account for the departures from the exact ΔI=1/2 rule for both the parity-violating and parity-conserving decay amplitudes. The additional constraints imposed on the experimental data, when the decay amplitudes are taken to be real, are discussed. (Auth.)
