This work is part of an investigation concerning the synthesis of aluminium compounds by forced hydrolysis of nitrate aluminium solutions and the possible mechanic properties of aluminium-oxy-hydroxides. Special emphasis is given to the characterization of gels by solid magic angle spinning NMR
