Infrared spectrum of VO2+ entity in K2C2O4·H2O crystals
Description
The IR spectra of pure and vanadyl doped monocrystals of potassium oxalate monohydrate (POMH) are presented. The strong and sharp IR band at 1008 cm-1 of VO2+ doped POMH established beyond doubt that the impurity enters the lattice in the form of the VO2+ monomeric unit. The force constant calculated for POMH:VO2+ is found to be 7.29 x 105 N. Stretching frequencies bond lengths and force constants of the vanadyl ion in some complexes are given and compared
