Description

The outdated design of the centralized information processing system installed on the PWR 900 MW plants since 1975 and the development of new functions for unit operation led to the system being redesigned and upgraded from 1984 onwards. After describing the new system, the installation constraints and the different phases of software and data base development, this paper goes on to explain the organization of the setting up operations with particular emphasis on reliability.
