Biographic radiation-induced defect formation as a method of red phosphorus activation in its reaction with arylalkenes

Description
Effect of preliminary irradiation on reaction ability of red phosphorus, prepared by radiation-induced polymerization of white phosphorus in benzene under 60Co radiation was studied. It was shown that red phosphorus containing radiation-induced defects of P-P-R type (R - fragments of benzene) in reactions with arylalkenes manifests a high reaction activity, which exceeds largely the reactive capability of industrially produced red phosphorus, and of white phosphorus in some cases
Abstract (Russian)
Изучено влияние предварительного облучения на реакционную способность красного фосфора, полученного радиационной полимеризацией белого фосфора в бензоле под действием излучения 60Со. Показано, что красный фосфор, содержащий радиационные дефекты типа P-P-R (R - фрагмент бензола), в реакциях с акрилалкенами проявляет высокую реакционную способность, которая значительно превосходит реакционную способность промышленного красного фосфора, а в некоторых случаях и белого фосфораAdditional details
