Description
The geological background is briefly discussed in this paper, combined with geological characteristics of iron-uranium type uranium deposit in Archean greenstone belt in the eastern Liaoning Province, it is suggested that uranium mineralization in Archean greenstone belt contains significant episode. It is discussed that structure-altered rocks control the uranium deposit in Archean strata which is related with uranium rich potassic granite. It is suggested that the structural space is a trinity of a palaeo-ductile shear-fractured belt, 'synapes' in the depression in the uplifted belt on the top of the basement and alkali-metasomatized rocks, and the metallogenetic model of alkali-metasomatized hydrothermal uranium deposit is related to the interlayer-unconformity fractured belt and structure-altered rock localization, the host rock alteration in iron-uranium type uranium deposits in Archean greenstone belt is quite clear. Uranium metallogenic spectral systems are reflected by the mineral assemblage of being formerly poor and later rich, suppersition and reworking ore formation. Multi-phases of uranium metallogenesis in Archean greenstone belt are discussed by taking the uranium accumulated areas which are complicated, superimposed, but have clear structure and related to the tectonic environment of Archean greenstone belt. It is considered that ore bodies buried deeply in iron-uranium type uranium deposit in Archean greenstone belt, have many blind ore bodies, the prospecting potential is very great. (authors)
