A qualitative study of wake fields for very short bunches

  • 1. Brookhaven National Lab., Upton, NY (USA)
  • 2. Stanford Univ., CA (USA)

Description

A qualitative treatment of both single- and multiple-cavity wakefields is presented. Unfortunately, it was not possible to obtain quantitative results, but E. Keil's conclusion as to the dependencies of the energy and bunch length was confirmed. Also, some physical insight was provided into why the conclusion should be correct. 9 refs., 5 figs
