Chondrosarcoma

With a review of recent literature and the help of 22 years of experience compiling dated in the study of bone tumours and pseudo tumoral lesions, this article presents a practical approach directed to radiologists, pathologists, orthopaedists, and oncologists and perhaps to other specialists or general physicians about the main aspects of chondrosarcomas. Emphasis is made in the comparison of histopathology, radiology and the clinical manifestations of the disease with the purpose of determining the correct management of the patient with this malignant disease. It also considers the different types of chondrosarcoma and uses the universal nomenclature approved by the world health organization in the classification of bone tumours
